Garnett Component Sales, Inc. (GCS) is seeking a dynamic experienced Sales professional who can work independently to drive results on behalf of the portfolio of manufacturers that we represent.

SUMMARY:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving plan goals through the promotion and sale of all product lines that are professionally represented by GCS. Primary responsibilities include maintaining relationships with current customers as well as the development and growth of new accounts in the Kentucky/Tennessee territory. This position works closely with the President, Director of Operations, and GCS Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all customers in an assigned territory.
  • Field sales calls conducted on-site of both new and existing customers.
  • Maintains existing and builds new customer relationships with key decision makers on all levels of the client organization.
  • Prospecting new accounts, maintaining current customers, and increasing opportunities with existing accounts.
  • Maintain and increase the sales volume of assigned accounts or territories in accordance with stated company plan.
  • Responsible to profitably grow sales to achieve yearly sales growth objectives
  • Maintain customer records, contacts, files and reports, using CRM
  • Use problem solving skills to provide the highest degree of support to customers.
  • Accurately and professionally provide price and delivery information and quotations to customer
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and resolution to customer problems.
  • Participate in customer and company events, training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
  • Assist in developing sales forecasts and territory potentials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in engineering or similar field

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% covering large territory.
  • Minimum 3 years of Sales experience or related applicable industry performance preferrred
  • Must have a proven track record of increasing sales and the ability to identify and close new accounts.
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a very strong work ethic.
  • Proficient computer skills with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for the state of residency and have an acceptable driving record.

REQUIREMENTS:
